Canna indica (red)

Canna indica is a vigorous tropical flower plant growing wild in most areas of Central and South America.

The foliage is extremely beautiful, and the flowers are small and delicate. The seed pods are a bright purple color which adds to the overall beauty of the plant.

It is very hardy and can be easily grown in humid and chilly climates. Canna indica can grow in zones 6-11 in full sun or partial shade, and is a fine container indoor/outdoor plant up to zones 3-4.
